Jungle!

Day 49, Thailand, Khao Yai National Park

The full day trip in the Khao Yai National Park was more than rewarding. It is the biggest and oldest National Park of Thailand. Home of over 300 wild elephants. I saw 5 elephants, 3 snakes (one was over 3 meters long), a scorpion, some insects, several deers and a lot of gibbons and monkeys. Even a baby gibbon...Did you know that the mother is carrying her baby for three years? They need three years to have the skills to jump from tree to tree. It was fantastic to watch the animals. Also pythons (enemy number one for monkeys) and 27 tigers live in the National Park, but the chance to see them is very little. Pytons kill the monkeys especially when they sleep. They go up the three and jump down on the monkey to be able to strangle him. Horrible...
