Towards Manaus

Day 293, Brazil, Rio Amazon

First of four days and three nights sleeping in a hammock on a boat towards Manaus. There are only a few foreigners, but many locals. Te atmosphere is very relaxing and I decide to spend much time reading my books. The views are amazing. I see the jungle and some small indigenous communities on both sides of the boat. It is an open-boat with a top for the shadow. The climate is really nice. Now I also know why my hammock was the cheapest one of the shop, it is definitely to short for my body. However, I will survive, hopefully. Amazon is so big. The boat is running for three whole nights and four whole days and the only thing I can see is jungle, jungle, jungle!
