The impact

Day 367, Cuba, La Habana

Another country, another culture. Habana is quite intense and reminds me a little bit of India. Cuba is different in everything. Two currencies have to be used. The popular and basic one for the non-tourist places and the much more expensive one for luxurious and fancy places that are sold to the outside world as Cuba. A fake Cuba. I feel very safe and there is far less criminality than in South American countries. I see the colors, here the music, walk through dirty streets, admire the old cars, the broken houses and start to eat where Cubans eat. The family already likes me and is overwhelmed about how untypical my behavior as a tourist is.
