Day 39, Thailand, Bangkok
My first full day in Bangkok on my own. I am sozialising a lot with locals. I am impressed about Bangkok and it's strong character. Buddhism has a strong impact even on the capital. You meet a lot of monks and people use their temples actively. The sunset was great today. In the late evening I visited Chinatown, which is very big and beautiful. I was eating something (I don't know what it was) in front of a Chinese man. He was gentle, helped me to order and explained me in Chinese how I have to eat. As he wasn't able to speak English we couldn't really talk. Later on he went away. When I wanted to pay, they explained me that this man already paid for my dinner. I was impressed. Later I have been invited by other Chinese people to drink some beers and they also drove me with their car to a market, I wanted to visit. It's great when foreign people invite you. I think that this would be rather impossible in Europe.
