Protection with the fort

Day 25, Oman, Barka
The first full day in the mainland of the Oman! Today I took the road towards Sohar. It is a coastal road with some forts and nice places to visit. Small towns in Oman often look similar. People have really nice houses, all built in a similar way. Additionally they use to have big 4WDs, I mean really big ones. And a lot of shops, especially Ladies Tailoring and Coffee Shops. You find also a lot of Barber Shops, Car Wash and Car Repair Shops. Usually Indian people work in the shops. The Indian community is very big here. Oman changed a lot during the last years. It had a strong evolution since its creation in 1970. Oman is a clean and wealthy country and is different from the UAE and from Yemen. Omanis are really proud about their country and feel their development during the past years as a big success.
