Day 14, Yemen, Socotra Island, Haggir Mountains
Today I went up to the highest point of the island, the Haggir mountains. I trekked with the camel (that has a very complicate name) and his boss, an old Bedouin man. The Bedouin was too funny and was always repeating nonsense words he heard from us in English. The camel was always the first of the group. He knew the whole day trekking road by his own. I was impressed about how smart he is. His one and only problem is that he wanted to eat during the whole way. He always tried to stop at each bush to eat immense quantities of food. Hope that tomorrow he will not be so hungry anymore. The views from the top were fantastic. Looking to the South the shape is similar to Vietnam, looking to the north the mountains and the nature seems to be the one of Scotland. Tonight I took the opportunity to ask a lot of questions about the marriage and the woman role in this country. Customs are very different from ours
