Love it or hate it

Day 72, Vietnam, Lai Chau

While I was in Thailand many tourists told me: Don't go to Vietnam, people are really bad there, it's horrible! While a few others told me that Vietnam was their best experience of Southeast Asia. The first impression that I have is that I love these people. They have much more temperament and can be much more persuasive in selling items or getting you in their hostel, but as soon as you understand how their thinking is, you can gain their respect and sympathy. It is a really interesting culture, and the strength of their character is maybe the main reason of their successful wars in the past. In the northern part of the country a lot of tribe people live. They still wear traditional clothing and have a traditional way of life. Today's trip was all the way a scenic sightseeing. Another news is that now Vietnamese people want to take pictures with me. They ask me permission to have a picture of me with them. Funny :-)
