Saying goodbye

Day 113, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Neill Island

This morning I say goodbye to the wonderful Islands of Andaman and Nicobar. This was a good start for my India trip and now I am ready to go to the mainland. I am able to organize a ferry ticket, which brings me back to Port Blair. In the early afternoon I get the flight to Chennai. At my arrival in Chennai I want to get a bus for my desired destination of today. I have to go to the central bus station for that. They want to bring me on a taxi. The taxi price is 20 times the price of the local bus, so I take a local bus and the adventure starts. I am the only foreigner in the local bus and also in the bus towards my destination. People are observing me but only a few talk to me. They seem to be shy or maybe I am to strange for them. I am able to reach my destination in the evening and have the daily challenge of getting oriented at the arrival. People generally are very helpful and kind to me. I like India! By the way the name of the destination is Tiruvannamalai. I try to learn the name but it is indeed difficult and long.
