The Cape

Day 118, India, Tamil Nadu, Kanyakamuri

I am at the Cape of India. The village of Kanyakamuri is peaceful and full of Indian tourists. Here you can watch the sunset and the sunrise over three different seas. It is magic! At my arrival I get in touch with two Indian tourists from Orisha. As I always get horrible rooms and loose a lot of time to find a budget accomodation in Tamil Nadu I follow them to their guesthouse. I try at least. Suddenly I remark that it is not only difficult for foreign tourists but also for Indians. They speak another language and have to communicate in English. While they already booked a room, we get the completely wrong information about where the guesthouse is. We loose one hour, have a lot of discussions with everybody that wants to sell us Idontknowwhat :-). In the end I decide to look for a room on my own and I am able to find an affordable place. It is even clean. Maybe the first clean room I have found in Tamil Nadu. The whole situation of today makes me laugh and feel good. It is a good feeling to know that everybody feels the same or has to deal with the same issues here in India.
