The change

Day 107, India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Port Blair

I arrive at 07.50 in Kolkata. My domestic connection flight leaves at 09.30. Boarding time is 08.45. Already at my departure I thought that I might have not enough time to catch the flight as the employee told me I have to take my luggage and do a second check-in in Kolkata. Arrived at the airport I try everything to save some time. I ask several people from the ground staff and everybody replies with: First you have to pass through the immigration clearance. 08.45 is now and I am still waiting in line at the immigration clearance. The flight is gone, I am quite convinced of that fact. That is India. Suddenly one of the ground staff asks for people who are flying to Port Blair. I tell him that I am one of them. He takes me in front of the long line and I do the immigration clearance. Then I have to pass through a second check post. After we hurry up to take my luggage, run out of the international terminal to go to the next building for domestic flights. Another check-post I pass through, an additional luggage clearance and we give my luggage at the check-in of the flight company. They don't want to accept my luggage anymore but the guy who is helping me just forces them to do so. We continue our run and I have to check my hand luggage and pass through the metal detector. We continue running and I arrive at the boarding gate. I catch a bus alone, which drives me to the aircraft. Finally I arrive in the airplane 2 minutes before departure. I did it, but my luggage will never arrive at Port Blair, I am thinking. After a two hours flight I arrive in Port Blair and there is even my luggage. I don't know how but the impossible turned to be possible, that is India!
