Day 157, Nepal, Annapurna, Thorung La Pass, Trekking day 6

Starting altitude: 4'500m
Lowest point: 3'800m
Highest point: 5'400m
Final altitude: 3'800m
I wake up at 4:30 am. It is still dark but the day is already arriving. I see the Annapurna mountains that are already illuminated by the sun. It is a fantastic view. After breakfast I start to trek at 5:15 am. At 6 am I am already on the top of a mountain of 5'000 m. While I am admiring the views, the sun is coming up behind the higher mountains. It feels incredible! There is ice and snow and the trek is rather dangerous than difficult, mainly also because I suppose to be acclimatized now. The last part of the trek is again very difficult. It is not really steep but the air, makes you feel not really well. I feel to be high and am suffering minor symptoms of the altitude sickness. It is normal at this altitude, however. At exactly 9:00 am I reach the highest pass of the world. E feeling is incredible and difficult to describe. I am proud of what I have reached today! After enjoying the views from the top it is a long 4 hours journey downwards to reach finally the village where I am staying.
