Day 148, Nepal, Kakarbitta
I stand up at 4.30 am to see the beautiful view of this small village over the Eastern Himalaya range. Today is a jeep day. I take totally 6 different jeeps and 1 bus and cross the India-Nepal border by foot. It is a very long journey. In the end I reach the destination. Jeeps in Sikkim have usually 10 places. On the first jeep we break all past records. Totally 17 people are sitting inside the jeep. 15 adults and 2 children. Even the locals have to laugh. As the road is very bumpy we jump around and crash into each other. By the end of the day I have to reach Nepal. It is already dark and borders are usually dangerous, especially when it is dark. I am lucky and happy that nothing happened.
