Day 149, Nepal, Pokhara

The long journey continues at 4 am. I take a bus towards Pokhara. It is a 14 hours ride and I reach the destination in the evening. I have several highlights on this trip: While I should be in a Deluxe bus version it is the same quality as Indian buses. There is only one driver for the whole dangerous trip. I pass through very remote areas of eastern Nepal, where people still use their animals as the major workforce and transport method. There are nearly no cars. On the roads you can see plenty of trucks, buses, tractors and motorbikes. Near Pokhara I pass through beautiful rice paddies. People are lovely and helpful in Nepal. It is less crowded than India. My neighbour is wearing a pink raincoat during the whole trip. He never stands up, he never speaks, he never sleeps, he never eats, he never drinks. All the way he is watching out of his window, emotionless. I am talented to select really good places. I also see two accidents, one of them is horrible. In Nepal they use to fill all seating places in a bus, afterwards all standing places and in the end everybody has to climb on the roof of the bus. I have seen buses with so much people on it, you cannot imagine!
