Day 153, Nepal, Annapurna, Tilicho Base Camp, Trekking day 2
Starting altitude: 3'700m
Lowest point: 3'200m
Highest point: 4'300m
Final altitude: 4'200m
I start very late in the morning, as I forgot to pre-order my breakfast. I leave only at 9.00 am and feel a little bit stressed because I am planning another long journey. I decide to skip the lunch break and start a never-ending walk. Finally at 17.00 I reach the base camp of the highest lake of the world. Also today the walk is scenic and the landscape changes as higher as you get. Especially in the last part of the trek you feel to change the planet, everything is different in these altitudes. I see a wonderful eagle and several vultures eating a dead Yak. I hope to not suffer too much the altitude sickness and to be able to reach the lake tomorrow.
