Nyumba Ya Masambiro

Day 201, Malawi, Ruarwe

PICTURE INFECTED BY A VIRUS :-(

I wake up in the very early morning and start my half-an-hour long walk towards Nyumba Ya Masambiro (NYM). NYM is the name of the NGO I will work for during this month an dmeans House of Education in Chitumbuka, which is the local language if this area. The path goes through some houses along the lake and is amazing. Children are everywhere and they all are so happy to see a Mzungo. People are lovely and I learn that it is very important to learn some basics in Chitumbuka to be able to interact with the community. The NGO is very cute and I learn and meet the different staff members. I also get the information about theor needs and by the end of the day I decide about my working areas. I will create a photographic report about the activities of the center, give IT lessons to the staff members and assist Youth activities. Welcome to Africa! The real Africa!
