Day 203, Malawi, Ruarwe

At NYM I feel already at home. All are lovely, from the staff members to all the visitors. I am willing to support the community, which needs a strong support. Children sometimes walk with you huge distances, just because they want to hold your hands. I always catch the opportunities to teach them small things. The development of the local community is the big aim of NYM. Not only Ruarwe but also its neighboring villages should take advantage from the NGO activity. Walking distances between villages can be up to 3 hours on rocky and hilly paths. Today three different primary schools are invited for a Quiz game. The library is filled with hundreds of spectators and e atmosphere is amazing. I try to get good pictures of the scenery. The best team will get some notebooks and pens, which is a very important prize in this part of the world.everything is very precious here, from the banana to the pen.
