Day 11, Yemen, Socotra Island, Wadi Shifa
Last night I spent my first night on the top of a mountain without a tent, only with my sleeping bag. The wind had a similar sound to the waves, and I slept very well with the fresh air of the mountains. This morning I did some trekking, going down through a Wadi. The views were amazing! People here walk without trekking shoes, when the trekking is hard the have sandals or flip flops. Otherwise (especially children) they just walk without shoes on stones and all kind of grounds. Every place I am going on the Island I feel to be the only tourist and the only one spending his time on the different places. It is a very good feeling and I enjoy the contact with locals. By the way I am learning some Arabic and Socotri words. People love it when you say some words in their language.
